Just thinking of spring and trying to get back into painting after a little hiatus. This piece titled "Peace Rose" is one in a series of rose studies. I'm not usually a big fan of roses, but I couldn't help myself when I found this little beauty with it's yellows and pinks. I especially love how the direct light caused such defined highlights.
