I am sooooooo excited~~~!.......Last Friday, May 1st, was the opening night for the CASNS Annual Juried Show being held at the Nova Scotia Public Archives.....There were several awards being given including the Mayor's Award and awards for specific categories.....I had three pieces accepted into the show.
I'm excited to say that I won the award for the Floral Category. What a wonderful surprise~~! There were 145 entries and the judges chose 97 amazing pieces to be accepted into the show. There are some truly talented people in our group~~!

This piece is simply titled "Dahlia". I really love large blossoms and dahlias offer layers and layers of magnificent petals. The many faces of my beloved dahlia blossoms. I really love the off-center composition and the addition of yellow. I think the layers were well captured and really draw your eye. Enjoy and thank you for visiting~~!
